We are excited to announce the newest owner of Woofie’s: Matt Schmitz. A Californian with a passion for animals, Matt is enthusiastic about starting a business he truly cares about.

Who Is Matt Schmitz?

Like so many FranCoach clients, Matt has spent his career so far working for others. As a distillery operator at a local wine and spirits production company, he enjoyed some aspects of his previous job, but was not particularly passionate about what he was doing. His favorite parts of his work were managing staff and developing new talent – and as Matt began looking for a career change, he knew he wanted an opportunity to take more pride in his work and build a strong financial future for himself.

Why Did Matt Make a Career Change?

After selling some rental properties, Matt wanted to invest his earnings in his own career and create the chance to work for himself on his own terms. He discovered the Franchising 101 Podcast, hosted by FranCoach’s Tim Parmeter, and began to listen his way through the episodes. He quickly realized that franchise ownership would give him the perfect opportunity to build the career of his dreams while benefiting from the proven plan of a seasoned franchisor.

From the beginning of his journey with FranCoach, Matt knew that he wanted to learn more about the pet care industry. An animal lover at heart, it was important to Matt that the next chapter of his career be in a field he was genuinely passionate about. When Matt found Woofie’s through the FranCoach Discovery Process, he knew he was in the right room.

Why Will Matt Make a Great Franchise Owner?

Throughout the Discovery Process, Matt worked with FranCoach founder and CEO Tim Parmeter. Tim guided Matt through a mutual vetting process with several different franchisors, all with the goal of finding the one that best aligned with Matt’s needs, goals, and preferences. Here’s what Tim has to say about why Matt is sure to succeed:

“Matt is a genuinely great guy – and I am confident he has found his perfect match with Woofie’s. He loves animals, and he will be a natural at getting out in his community and building strong relationships with his clients. Matt appreciates how important pets are to their owners, and he can already see how his new business will provide so much value in his area. I am personally very excited to see the amazing future Matt builds for himself.”

Why Did Matt Choose Woofie’s?

Woofie’s is a growing pet care franchise that aims to be a one-stop shop for pet owners. Offering mobile grooming, dog walking, and pet sitting, Woofie’s brings pet care directly to the homes of its customers, providing a modern-day convenience that prioritizes man’s best friend. Franchisees love the brand’s multiple revenue streams and incredible investment opportunity in a $295 billion global pet care market.

Matt came to FranCoach looking for a high-quality business that would bring value to his community – and with Woofie’s, that is exactly what he found. He collaborated with Franchise Development Manager Taylor Meyer at Woofie’s, who helped him learn more about the brand’s unique offerings. It was easy for Matt to see the potential in this exciting franchise opportunity, and he is thrilled to get started.

Please join our team at FranCoach in congratulating Matt Schmitz and wishing him luck as a new owner of Woofie’s!
